The world's greatest steeplechase and arguably the world's most famous race, the Grand National is consistently placed in the top 10 most viewed sports events in any given year and is watched by over 500 million people worldwide. Every year the race provides an emotive story provided by winner or loser and despite many safety modifications, the race still retains much of its drama. The bravery and sheer thrill of watching horse and jockey jump those big fences still sets the heart pumping.
